Transcript	THE ANTI – SALOON LEAGUE OF AMERICA OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY AND NATIONAL ORGANIZER S. E. NICHOLSON RICHMOND, INDIANA Dear Friend: The Joint – Committee appointed by Indiana and Western Yearly Meetings to visit Earlham College and make inquiry concerning its status and teachings, under Article 5 of the Articles of Incorporation of that institution, met at Richmond, Indiana, August 23 to organize and confer upon methods of procedure. It was agreed unanimously to ask those who have any charges to make against the College or any department of the in-stitution, or any statements that would seem to call in question the soundness of its teaching or the quality of its religious life, to put secile? Charges or statements concisely and as briefly as possible in writing, sign them, and send them to the undersigned chairman of the Joint Committee at Richmond, Ind., not later than October 25 Persons making such charges or state-ments will be subject to call by the committee to stubstantiate the same by such testimony as will contribute to their support. It was agreed by the Committee also/ that copies of all charges and statements shall be filed with all persons involved therein at least ten days before the committee meets to hear testimony. These regulations were have been adopted in the interest of orderly procedure, and not with a view of placing unnecessary restrictions upon any one. Thy name has been given to us as one who may have something to say about Earlham College which concerns the work of our Joint Committee.
