Capital Punishment 1
The following remarks have claimed a place in my thoughts since hearing a part of a debate on this subject at Lyn in Randolph County Indiana At the meeting house on a 7th daye evening in the 1-mo 1860
In claiming the right to take the life of man we were cited First to Genesis 9ch 5- 6 ver On which they Argued that this was Before all Law that it was a Moral law of God and that no Moral law changed That positive laws were changeable But no Moral law more of this anon of God ever was changed Without stopping to enquire after the views of every one I shall proceed to show the sophistry of the Advocates of the right to take life under any circumstances under the dispensation in which we live.
